Starting with version 4.2.0, libcoap is put under the BSD 2-Clause license.

Historically, libcoap was distributed under GPLv2 but has been transformed
into a dual-license model upon public request. From 2017-06-01, BSD 2-Clause
will be the only licensing option for libcoap.

This pre-4.1.2 version of coap-client provides DTLS support through tinydtls.

Note that the API is deprecated and will change in future versions.
